CHALLENGE

Treasure House is a unique active living community for young adults with cognitive and developmental disabilities. They were founded by Kurt and Karen Warner who were looking for a longer term solution for their own adult son who sustained a brain injury as a small child. The goal of Treasure House is to provide one-bedroom apartments with access to family style amenities such as a kitchen, lounge, game room, patio and outdoor activities to build friendships amongst peers and have a sense of independence in a safe and supportive living environment.

STRATEGY & APPROACH

Thurlkill Studios has been tasked with the documentation of residence life at Treasure House. Our goal was to promote the function of the community for further recognition and growth. We used photography to show the current residence utilizing the space and to document fundraising efforts made during Kurt and Brenda Warner’s Celebrity Game Night. We continue to partner with them to help fundraising efforts and update their web presence as their staff and residence numbers grow.
